Molly Slouch Knitting Pattern

Something simple and customizable for everyone in the family! There’s just something so comfortable about a slouchy beanie - easy to wear, easy to toss into a bag or pocket, stylish and it really looks great on everyone. This pattern takes that up one notch by letting you create something truly unique for everyone.

Using a basic foundation, there are decorative bands spaced throughout that the knitter can change up. Choose to knit 2 bands for a slouchy style, or 3 bands for an ultra slouchy style. Each decorative band is short enough to insert small stitch patterns, so mix and match to make each beanie one-of-a-kind.

Although the pattern is written only for one adult size, it is also simple enough to adjust the circumference. The pattern tells you how to adjust for the crown decrease if you do.

Materials:
DK weight yarn ~ 175-180 yards for shorter version, ~205-210 yards for super slouchy version
US 3/ 3.25mm 16” circular needles
US 4/ 3.5mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns (or size needed to obtain gauge)

• Stitch markers (5 + 1 unique for beginning of round marker)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

DK: 25 stitches x 32 rounds

Finished sizes: approximately 20” circumference x 9.25”/ 11.25” tall
