Q: When will my order ship?
A: Although everything here is "ready to ship," it will take me 3-5 business days to prepare to ship. Please be patient as I am working alone with two little ones at home!
Once shipped, you will get a notification along with tracking information. I ship using USPS. Shipping costs include handling fees and material for shipping.
Delivery times are dependent on where you are located. International orders may take up to a month during these times.
International shipping overages will be refunded if the difference is greater than $2.
Q: What is your return/ refund policy?
A: I offer a 14 day return policy, but items must be in their original packaging, unopened and unworn. I'm sorry, but I am unable to accept returns otherwise due to the nature of hand knit items. I do not offer refunds, but I will do what I can to make your experience a positive one.
If you do need to cancel an order, please contact me within 24 hours of placing the order. After that, I will likely have prepared or am preparing your order for shipping and will not accept cancellations.
Q: My item was supposed to have been delivered, but I can't find it! What now?
A: Unfortunately, once the item is out of my hands, it is in the control of the shipping carrier. First, look everywhere, even at a neighbor's house for a possible wrong delivery. Ask everyone in the household too (because my husband forgets about my parcels all the time!). Then I would suggest contacting your local post office. If you still haven't received it 7 days after delivery, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will try my best to help.
Please make sure that the address you entered at check out is correct and contact me ASAP if it isn't!
Q: Why do you have so many styles?
A: The simple answer is that I don't like to make the same things repeatedly. I get bored! A more detailed answer is that I design and test knit for other designers quite a bit, so I end up with more variety than quantity. Each item here is truly OOAK (one of a kind), so if something catches your eye, please get it before someone else does! I may or may not bring it back!
Q: How do you price your items?
A: There is much to consider when it comes to pricing fairly. I take into account the complexity of the pattern, the size (child vs. adult), and the time it takes to knit. You are paying for a skill and hand-made, unique items.
Luxury vs everyday items are priced as such because of the yarn differences. Items that contain acrylic material will be easier to care for, but may not hold up as well as those made with 100% wool. These are great alternatives for those with wool sensitivities though!
Luxury items are more durable, feel softer, and made with 100% merino wool or Peruvian wool. The wool I use is sustainable, ethically sourced, and wool in general has properties that acrylic yarns do not. With proper care, these items will last longer than those made with acrylic yarns. As such, the base cost of materials is also much higher.
Q: How do I care for my items?
A: Items in the Luxury Line should be spot cleaned and dried, or hand washed in cold water and dried flat. Wool wash can be purchased from several places, including your local yarn store!
Items in the Everyday Line can be machine washed in a garment bag and dried flat, but for best results, hand wash is recommended.
Remove all tags and poms prior to washing.
Faux fur poms can be restored by shaking them out, or by a blast of cool air from your hair dryer!
Q: Will my beanie fit?
A: I try to state the size of the beanie in the description of the listing. Some prefer a looser fit while others prefer a tighter fitting hat, so I will try my best to help if you let me know your preference. Most of the adult sized hats will fit a 21"-23" head.
Unless stated otherwise, all beanies are adult sized!
Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: At this time I do not. However, if you see something on my Instagram feed that isn't listed, feel free to reach out to me and ask!
Q: I didn't find an answer to my question, what should I do?
A: Please send me an email at email@example.com and I will try my best to help you! Please be patient for a response as I am a one woman show over here.
