The Incendio Beanie is named for the fire making spell and matches the cowl of the same name! The cowl is a lace design that resembles flames climbing upwards, and this pattern uses the same stitch repeats, but changing ONE stitch, to minimize the openness created with lace knitting!

This pattern is gorgeous! I used the yarn shown in illustration (lionbrand scarfie, Seafoam/clay) which Jenny the designer was kind enough to tell me. Reminds me of summer turning to fall. When I asked about the yarn Jenny answered promptly!

As you see I copied their pattern photo with my own hat as the leaves show it off so well!

Thank you so much for the kind review, Dana! Your hat is beautiful!

Fun pattern

Very easy once I got the hang of it. I did change the reverse yarn over to regy yarn over ,ten in the next row I knit in the back loop. I think it creates the same effect and is easier for me. This technic is used in another of my favorite paty,a faux cable hat.i also did a twisted rib.
