** It is VERY important to gauge for this pattern. A tighter gauge is fine, but do not proceed if looser than gauge as it will result in a floppy, unstructured beanie.

Knowledge: Basic knit/purl, knitting in the round, special stitches explained in pattern

You will need:
Super bulky weight yarn (6): Approximately
85-90 yards
ie. Malabrigo Rasta
US 13/ 9mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns
Bulky weight yarn (5): Approximately 90-100
yards
ie. Manos del Uruguay Franca, Mad Tosh ASAP
US 11/ 8mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns
Light bulky yarn: Approximately 130 yards
ie. Malabrigo Mecha, WAK Petite Wool, Lion
Brand Scarfie
US 10/6mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns
Worsted weight yarn (4): Approximately
145-155 yards
ie. Malabrigo Rios, indie dyed worsted
US 8/5mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns
DK weight yarn: Approximately 180-190 yards
US 6/ 4mm 16” circular needles and/ or dpns
*Stitch marker *Tapestry needle *Scissors
Beautiful hat, good instructions, especially the “special” stitch(es). Definitely an intermediate project, I frogged the piece many times, I am a new knitter and it was challenging. The pattern takes a lot of concentration.
I am going to try knitting it again and hopefully no mistakes this time.
